Mushroom Whipped Cream

This mushroom whip is so simple to make, and only takes a few ingredients. I absolutely love dressing up my morning coffee and making it a special magical elixir with it.

It is no secret that in our household, we are a huge fan of mushrooms. Their capabilities are honestly beyond my comprehension and I love learning more and more about them everyday. I highly encourage you to research, watch documentaries, look for them outside and in stores, and familiarize yourself with the magic and medicine of mushrooms! They just may save the world! Please be mindful if ever foraging for wild mushrooms to always consult a fungi specialist :)

I use turkey tail and lion's mane- some of my favorites- in this recipe, but any mushroom blend will work and have it's own array of medicinal traits. A few others to include might be reishi, cordyceps, or chaga.

I also recommend using raw cream in this recipe, if you can find it. The health benefits of unpasteurized milk are incredible. From personal experience, raw milk has increased my energy levels tremendously by adding so much rich fat, protein and probiotics into my daily intake. As a toddler mom- this has been so crucial for me!

Medicinal & Magical Properties of Mushrooms

Mushrooms are adaptogens, meaning that they help balance the body against stress. They are also excellent purveyors of divination as they have existed long before humans and hold ancient wisdom.
Turkey Tail: Turkey tail mushrooms grow on decomposing wood, and are named after their feather-like appearance. They are amazing immune boosters and have been effectively studied in cancer research.  These can be used in healing spells!
Lion's Mane: Lion's mane look like cute fluff balls and are excellent for encouraging brain health. Lion's mane helps memory function and can reduce anxiety. They can be used in intelligence and psychic spellwork!

The STeps!

INGREDIENTS:
1 Cup heavy cream ( I use raw cream, but any heavy cream will work)
2 tsp mushroom powder ( I use 1 tsp lion's mane, 1 tsp turkey tail)
1-2 tbsp powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract

Place your mixing bowl in the freezer about 20 minutes prior to making this recipe so that your bowl is cold.

Add cream, mushroom powder, and powdered sugar to a mixing bowl and whisk on high speed until fluffy, about 4 minutes. Be careful not to mix passed this stage, as it will begin to turn into butter! (Not totally a bad thing if you ask me) Lastly, mix in the vanilla extract. And thats it :)

Enjoy immediately, or store in the fridge about 3 days.
